SILK - to po angielsku JEDWAB. Natomiast Czubatki to kury z przylegającymi piórami, które na główce mają zazwyczaj wielki wyróżniający się czub, utworzony również z piór. Jest wiele rodzajów i kolorów czubatek, ale moimi ulubionymi są czarno-białe. Wielu projektantów inspirowało się rasowymi kurami, szczególnie silkami, w tworzeniu swoich kreacji.
