Styling Rare Items!
If you're lucky enough to own a rare or highly wanted item, you may know how difficult it is to style some of them. Many rare items are quite unusual, such as the LE Cat Ears Tiara or the Antidote Red Faux Fox Purse- very fun to wear, but hard to incorporate into an outfit! Here are some of my tips for styling these types of items.
Use the item as a base!
If you use your hard to style rare as the base item that you use to inspire the rest of your outfit, it will be much easier to incorporate it into your look. Use the item's colour, shape, and theme as your guide, and remember the Search tool in your closet! I styled the LE Cat Ears Tiara (shown above) with a casual dress and bag to create a classy yet chilled out look. I also made sure the dress had gold accents so the ears didn't look out of place!Be careful combining rares!
If you have many rare items, it can be tempting to wear them all at the same time. I recommend not doing this however, as people may see it as showing off, and not all rare items go together well! Personally, I prefer using one rare item as a base, and only adding more if they are truly the perfect item for your look. Most importantly, have fun!
If you want to ignore any of these tips, then feel free! Rare items are generally wanted because they look cool and are fun to style- and fun should be the main goal here on Stardoll. Stay true to your own style, because confidence will let you rock almost anything! What's on your rare item Wishlist?
